Oxygen not included cool steam vent tamer.

After looking around, I found two colonies with good examples of a Cool Steam Vent tamer with a high-output vent, meaning the Vent produces more than 4kg/sec during the eruption phase.

Oxygen not included cool steam vent tamer. Things To Know About Oxygen not included cool steam vent tamer.

I will use an insulated gas vent to carry the very cold CO2 around my base to the heat creators in order to cool them down. (Mostly power generators and Oil/Plastic Refining.) In the rooms with excess heat, I will create long radiator vents to cool the room down. The final area that I will take the vent is to a gold volcano just below may base. It's cycle 56, you don't have the tech or material to deal with a cool steam vent properly. Brick of the area with insulated tiles to keep it from cooking your base and come back to harness it in 100 or so cycles. We bring you the most power efficient cool …Yes, but use the wheezeworts inside a room full of hydrogen to cool down a block of metal tiles then use a mechanized airlock and a thermal sensor to control the temperature of the vent's room. The metal block works as a thermal battery to "store the cold" and prevent the worts from being overwhelmed during the vent's active cycle.

This build works best with an Infectious Polluted Oxygen Vent and will output Oxygen slightly colder than the Vent output. For a Hot Polluted Oxygen Vent, you might want to modify the build a bit to passively cool the Polluted Oxygen with a Steam Turbine beforehand.Hello everyone! Yeah, it's a game that's meant to be fun and simplified, which is exactly the opposite of what the 125C steam turbine and 85C tepidizer mark do. It makes things unnecessarily tedious. Cool steam vent would be a godsend with 100C mark, but it's by far one of the worst and most hated geysers for getting water in the game.so I have a leaky oil fissure next to a cool steam vent and I want to use them for power and maybe some plastic production in early game. I am in 85 cycle - still pretty early - I was going to do some ethanol power for my base and for O2 but I found out those 2 under my base -literally- and thought maybe I can make petroleum for power and plastic instead of …Most of this is either impossible or not very reasonable with a cool steam vent. Someone else asked if I was using a steam vent or a cool steam vent elsewhere, so I figure I'm not innocent in creating this confusion. To be clear, we're talking about a cool steam vent. Going off some of your other comments in this thread:It is power positive, harnesses all the thermal energy from the steam (500°C->95°C) and allows to extract all the water, without the use of any kind of bead pump or similar methods. The used steam vent outputs ~4kg/s when active and has an average output of ~0.7kg/s. Disclaimer: I have successfully used a similar build in survival, but I ... CO2 comes out hot from the geyser, but it has a very low specific heat capacity. This means there isn't actually a lot of heat energy in the CO2, totally different to a hydrogen vent. Hydrogens SHC is roughly 3x as high as carbon dioxide. So, you'll find the carbon dioxide vents can normally be managed simply by surrounding them in normal tiles ...

Hydrogen vent taming. This design pumps out 130-140 degree hydrogen. Even if started in a vacuum, it won't overheat. Atmo Sensor (upper left): Above 4000g. Atmo Sensor (below gas pump): Above 1000g. Thermo Sensor: Below 135. Use steel for the Gas Pump. Note: Radiant liquid pipes help cool the steam turbine.

Hi. I'm trying to follow a guide on youtube how to tame a steam vent and there is a problem with piping. I cannot find the mistake, maybe someone else can help me ...

NOTE: I stole the split turbine design from ghkbrew, you can find his/her post here: Simplest Sulfur Geyser Tamer, however it does not cool the sulfur and that is what I am doing. The output sulfur is 100F (38C) and it seems to handle that well so it could probably get colder. These guides are relatively old and some information may be out of date. Practical uses for Liquid Loops. The first answer would obviously be filtering it and using it as a water source, but I already found two cool steam geysers that should provide plenty of clean water without the need for refinement. Of course, I could also use it for fertilizer production, but even with ten fert refineries I have more pwater than I know what to do with.Jan 24, 2021 · For the rest, one set-up is to have a large tank below which you cool sort-of "best-effort" with whatever the direct cooling for the vent has left, and then a 2nd Steam Turbine/Aquatuner that you use for target cooling to exactly the desired target temperature. Dual Aqua Tuner/Steam Turbine tamer for Cool Steam Vent.Yeah I know it's called a Steam Vent, but the point it's the hot (500C) variant. I don't get why the OP has extened the cooling loop. The AT should cool down the turbines only. There's not need to inject more heat, the steam is hot enough. You don't use a CSV build for a (hot) SV. They are two different beasts.Great video! But I the currently have a steam vent in my seed that outputs 3.2Kgs of steam at 500°. That's alot of heat. Right now, I have 2 problems: The central part is easilly reaching 250°, which leads to the steam turbine to not be 100% efficient. My system hasn't reached equilibrium, and I fear I might not be deleting enough heat right now.

Yeah I know it's called a Steam Vent, but the point it's the hot (500C) variant. I don't get why the OP has extened the cooling loop. The AT should cool down the turbines only. There's not need to inject more heat, the steam is hot enough. You don't use a CSV build for a (hot) SV. They are two different beasts. As you noted the pump does not work continuously and neither does the aquatuner. It only kicks on when the temperature in the pipe rises above 35 degrees to keep the temperature of the steam turbine and expelled gasses stable. Over 5 cycles of running the system there was a net power gain of 382Kj from the steam turbine over the aquatuner.

Doesn't take much to cool down 'cool steam vent' steam, it's already barely past the evaporation point. In my experience, you need at least 3 to ensure the Wheezeworts won't overheat eventually. Granted, we're talking on the order of 300+ cycles here, at which point you can easily engineer away from that setup, but still worth considering. If there's no steam, no water will replenish the cooling loop. But the temp sensor is in the oil, not in the vacuum, so the aquatuner can continue running regardless of the chamber having steam or not. So if the aquatuner is running and no water is being added to the loop, but the cold sensor can eject water, you could drain the entire loop ... The best candidate for cooling liquid would be the water for electrolyzer - since it produces gases at 70C minimum, you can safely heat the water you feed it to the same 70C. Natural gas is easy to tame, never had a reason to cool it.1. DimaB77 • 2 yr. ago. In my last article (getting water), I studied the volume of each volcano's eruption. On average, a vent of hot steam erupts 2.2kg/sec of steam. Every turbine port absorbs 400gr/sec steam x 7 = 2.8kg/sec steam + 360kg what will fit in the room. That's a lot more than the volcano is erupting. This is a self-powered late-game cool steam vent tamer. For the record, cool steam vents are power positive without geotuners ( example 1, example 2 ).
