So I've decided to paint my engine a Glossy Gray. Looking at Eastwood and POR and the usual suspect for quality engine paint I find my choices of Glossy Gray very very limited. That is to say ONLY New Ford Gray. Now for all I know that is exactly the color I will want.

Most of the wear on this assembly is in the straight ahead position for obvious reasons. That is why for set up/adjustment you turn it to the mid/high position. I love diesels and the Kubota V2203 is a nice swap in the Willys Jeeps. I inherited this Jeep in 2002 after my father passed away. It was his little baby. He bought it in 1974 from the grandson of the original owner.

He had at least a half dozen good WW2 Jerry cans, mostly water cans, but at least one good fuel can. After he died a lot of stuff disappeared from his garage, but I did find a couple of those Jerry cans the thieves had missed. One is a water can, the other a fuel can and in pretty good shape.Early CJ2As had 3 dash data plates. Later 2As have one long data plate. For the next hour I got the hour glass of death.The easiest way i have found to do this is to jack up a rear wheel and disconnect the brake cable and return spring. Then you can move the actuating lever by hand, make your adjustment and roll the tire to see if the brake is holding. The early switch with male terminals (part number A-1271) was used up to CJ2A serial number 219465. The later switch with female terminals (part number 647801) was used in CJ2A after Serial number 219465 and all CJ3A.I found in my archive on my mac this very interesting picture about the bottom of the body of one CJ2A VEC of 1946.
