Plus more than one angler can cast from a skiff or boat with conventional.
Ultimately, I'm going with an Ankona Advent as my next skiff. But for the meantime, I just picked up a Salt Marsh Savanna to hold me down throughout the waiting list process. This thing is sweet! The true meaning of a Microskiff. We camped at Whispering Pines...Before my Advent would just porpoise until my tabs were at least half way down. Now If I were able to have a tab failure I can still plane out. second I can now run my jack plate all the way up and stay on plane.
Feb 15, 2019 · Truth is, a chickee is the most comfortable place to camp in the late spring,early summer. Several degrees cooler because it's over water and any breeze wafts up under the deck. The Native SUV offers a true 5" draft and sharp entry nose that takes a chop amazingly well for such a light skiff. It poles great. It does max out at 40HP which will get you in the mid 30's and does not have the finish of Cayenne and Copperhead. But finish does not equate more fish or higher performance.

Think about the kind of fishing you do 75-80% of the time. You NEED your skiff to be able to accommodate you during that 75-80% of the time. The other 20-25% is what you WANT the skiff to do. For example: My Cayenne needed to be able to pole in 6-7" for winter time redfish.
