May 9, 2020 · Advise on changing 850 spark plugs needed. A friend asked me if I would service his 2019 850 with 7000 miles on it. He wanted it gone thru thoroughly. Getting it back into shape has be easy except for one thing. One item he requested was that the spark plugs be changed. As you may know they are buried deep in the engine compartment.

Grease. 300 hours is the minimum, we usually get 600. The key is if you see the grease come out - then its time! If the primary clutch is kept from getting too hot the grease lasts the 600 hours no problem. When the motor gets too hot the life span goes down.

If the track is installed on the snowmobile, we remove the rear suspension, lift the tunnel up high and work away. Make note that having minimal fuel in your tank is recommended when lifting the tunnel up high so that your fuel doesn’t drain out the vent.

Brp knows but these 850 are far from 4 stroke reliability. Probably better than the old 800 mills, but still not great for a 25k initial purchase price. It all depends on how much you ride. 9600kms could be a lifetime for some riders and they will praise the motor.
