I never got a smiley face but did get two clear positives with cassette style ov tests. So I won't use them again--that being said I have bought a CBFM for next month. Also just so everyone knows, the Clearblue brand ov tests suggest you do the test in the morning!!! Most other test say to do in the afternoon.3rd month ttc and 1st month of using the clue blue dual ovulation test. I had 2 days of blank circles and currently on my 10th day of flashing smiley! Thought I would of had the peak smiley last week. A blank circle means that the hormones in your body are not at the right level for ovulation just yet. A flashing smiley face means that there is a surge taking place and that the levels will be peaking soon. I will admit that any more days of flashing smileys and I could have lost the plot. But reading back on the instructions leaflet, 5-8 days is normal in 25% of the cases for flashing smileys.
