I haven't been able to find any signs of oil leaks, so the engine must be burning oil. After the oil change, I had to add 0.75 quarts of oil to get it to the full mark again after 1,000 miles. I can't imagine this is acceptable as the engine is only suppose to hold 4.75 quarts. Also, my car has 168,432 miles on it.
It's a known issue. Go to a Hyundai dealership and get official oil consumption tests. 3 tests at 1000 miles apart and they submit paper work to Hyundai for a free replacement engine.
