Jan 16, 2011 · JB Followup. I had the same issue with a 2013 nissan altima. I would start the car and the car would initialize then start to get to idle at about 750 to 1K rpm and stall out. If I started while tapping the gas the vehicle would stay running and would not have the issue. The issue would happen intermittantly.

Read somewhere that this could be caused by a bad coolant temp sensor. It thinks its colder outside than it is so it causes more fuel to be used during startup so overfuels the engine. So I changed the coolant temp sensor this morning and still won't start. 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5L. No start. Cranks fine. Put a new battery new it still not start. Verified fuel still no spark.
