Suehiro Cafe is closing its doors in Little Tokyo after more than 50 years. The Cafe was started in 1972 by sisters Junko and Yuriko Suzuki. They've been known for their delicious and affordable lunch specials which will be sorely missed by the Little Tokyo community. I'll be going tomorrow to show my support for the Suzuki's.The social services organization's Little Tokyo Service Center and Keiro also helped pioneer a program for Little Tokyo restaurants to provide meals to some of the area’s seniors. Suehiro Cafe was one of them, providing as many as 140 meals per week to older Japanese Americans in the area.
