For a multi-billion dollar company, Bethesda has some of the worst servers i've ever seen. Pathetic. After trying to connect for most of the day, I deleted my user profile on my xbox and then re-added it. That was it, took about 5 minutes and it immediately connected. Separately I was also getting the message later in the day that "Skyrim took too long to start."
