Today when continuing the save, it's like the opposite. When I try to set a species to undesirable, it tells me only robots can be set as undesirable and purging biological pops is outlawed.Purging is not the only solution but it is probably the easiest to mod or add. Another solution would be to decouple the bio-trophy and the machine pop growth rates so one would not affect the other. I can think of 3 reasons to purge from a usefulness perspective: You're a purifier. Or purging is the only option (hive pops in a psionic empire for instance) You're a necrophage. Turning poorly optimized subspecies into your main species at 75% efficiency isn't terrible if you don't care about diplo.
