My husband and I visited McCall Wines (and several other wineries) while spending a weekend in Long Island. Their indoor tasting room is a beautifully restored barn. Outside, the winery offered socially-distanced picnic tables. We sat outside, I tried a tasting flight ($20 pp) while my husband had a glass of wine. May 25, 2023. McCall’s tasting room is built out of an old stable, complete with saddle displays and cozy tables nestled into the horse stalls. There are also some picnic tables in front of the barn, which is exactly where you should be on a summer Thursday or Friday night when they serve burgers alongside a great glass of Cabernet Franc.
