The Benelli is a GREAT gun, and cost me about what I paid for both the Mossy's combined. If your budget is small, go with the Mossy's, they'll do the job reliably. The 590a1 magpul is nice but heavy and my 18 5 is a 6 shot.

Posted July 30, 2010. The only advantage of the Super Nova is the interchangable butt stock. But, I don't believe Benelli makes one that is 1" shorter, which is the only one worth changing to. I also am not a fan of pistol grip shotguns. For me, the pistol grip slows down transitions.

To top that of I found it at a great price of $329. On the other hand I have always been told that the more expensive Benelli is very reliable. The same goes for Remington although the 870 express is the cheapest of all options. I plan to go duck and pheasant hunting with the shotgun. Edit: I just checked Mossberg's website and the weight numbers are very close. In fact some 590A1s are lighter than some 590s. Also the 590s only come in 20" but the 590A1s come in 18.5" or 20".
