I'm light on magic (13, just enough to fit 2 buff talismans and 6 guardians) but its ability to turn enemies off by blasting them to the sky is impressive. It's just an all around very good guardian for onmyo builds with that anima bonus it has. Also onmyo builds can loop the talisman with spells, because it stuns for so long.

An alternative that relies on some melee would be 5 pieces of onmyo austerity and 6 pieces of mastery of illusions. Or 4 + 5 with an accessory that gives -1 to set requirements. Onmyo austerity gives empowered onmyo and illusion gives empowered ninjutsu. Empowered is a short buff that allows you to attempt to refund the usage of a skill.

IMO it downright sucks and it's only good for Crusher titles on easy mode. It softcaps around 1300~1600HP which is ~2 hits with Heavy armor lol on normal. On easy it's 3~5hits. On higher difficulties it will null 1 hit at most. Doesn't block Elemental Attacks. With my ninja build, the highest I've gotten untouched ninjutsu up to is like 54%, that's with tempering/soul matching it onto every piece of armor, both accessories having it, the demon scroll having it and getting another 15% from the Flying Kato set bonus.
