Tinkers only allows up to level 5. But tinkers sharpness isn't like the enchantment. To test I made an Amethyst-Flint-Bone broadsword, added Diamond and Sharpestest - it hits harder than a Sharpness 16 Diamond sword, and applies some wither on top.
