Maya and axton and Krieg are best at mobbing. Gaige can suck if you don't have the right gear or a lot of anarchy. Sal is just broken. Zero is way too low, one of the best characters for both melee or sniper. All are very good in their own aspects and they all have builds that can beat all the raid bosses.

OP Maya is serious work, while OP Gaige really is fun. I generally play solo btw. Certainly story missions, progressing the character etc. I play with friends, but usually as support in their games.
