The Model 2 Fumé, which features a new case design, doubles down on that with the introduction of what anOrdain describe as the first fumé dial using enamel.The watch is shipped in a non-marked grey box. No frills, just a solid cardboard box. In it, you'll find a booklet with a certificate, background on the watch and the company, and of course, the case with the watch in it. There is a second strap included as well. There was also a handwritten letter that came with the box.It displays two hands and no visible running seconds. Although the hands of the Model 1 are not made by Anordain, the Model 2 has in-house built and designed hands, a first for the brand. The fumé dials they produce are very special and have a textured background, with the color getting darker as you get closer to the edge of the dial.

Ever since ETA (the largest movement manufacturer) started restricting supply to existing customers outside of the Swatch Group, many a column inch has focused on brands developing their own movements in-house.

Suede is a tactile leather made from the underside of the animal hide. As suede is a naturally soft leather, it will wear more easily than shell cordovan; however, it is an excellent choice if you favour a leather strap with a soft, textured finish.

The few design gripes I had with the original model 1 have been almost totally resolved with the new version. It’s a stunning watch, which I’d certainly buy if I wasn’t already so attached to the one I have. Can’t recommend anOrdain enough.
