It's going to have some big boots to fill from the 890 ADV and 850GS, and that's before we even consider the more budget-friendly Japanese bikes. News ReviewsErgos: this is mostly preference, but I would give edge to the Scrambler. The ergos are a little more forgiving and therefore more versatile. It likely would be more comfortable overall and also on longer rides or 2-up. The monster is more aggressive for sure, but that might be what you want. Looks: both are fantastic.Reddit iOS Reddit Android Rereddit Best Communities Communities About Reddit Blog Careers Press. Terms & Policies. ... Get the triple, save a few grand, get a sharper machine. Bear in mind if you're going to be putting on a lot of miles, the service and repair costs on the Monster are going to be far higher and they tend to depreciate a lot faster than Triumphs. Personally the Street Triple is probably the best ergonomic fit I've ever found on a sporty bike ...

Monster is more for lots of street and maybe once a year track day. In an ideal world I’d want both. Monster is more comfy for sure (at least on 848/1098, haven’t got to sit on a V2 streetfighter), but streetfighter is a lot better body position for real track days, if you do them semi regularly.

Ducati’s have higher maintenance costs, none is more reliable over the Honda, the Aprilia 660 and tridents are 1st year bikes so don’t if there are any bugs yet. You look at a FZ07 ? but you will be 1 of 100 when riding ... Monster are good but $$ on service and so much more to do on desmo. Love the look of Ducati, and seat height is excellent (I’m short), MT-07 was a little more uncomfortable to reach the ground. MT-07 has less miles and 2 years newer than the Ducati. Otherwise the price is about the same. Cost aside, which bike is relatively more appropriate for new rider? Looking to do in-town commute and occasionally highway ...The newest Monster or an MT-09 are probably too much bike for a beginner, both are 100+ HP. But take a look at an MT-07 or a Monster 796 / 797 (the one with the 803 cc aircooled engine). Both those bikes have around 70 HP, and "friendly" engine characteristics. The testasretta in your previous Diabel did have a lot of low-end grunt, it was also set up with camshafts to support low end torque, but as you crest 9000 RPM you really didn't get much more out of it before it redlined at 11000. The Superquadro in your current street fighter V2, is essentially a liter superbike. 22 votes, 16 comments. First time in a loooong time without a Yamaha or an Honda on the podium. If you're going to get any Ducati as a new rider, get the Monster 696. But, consider the fact that you don't weigh a whole lot and, even though the 696 is relatively light at ~355lbs dry, that's 50lbs more than the most common starter bike (Ninja 250r at 300lbs). The 696 is still a lot of bike. The Blade was '05 so nowhere near the newest models. I'll say the Ducati feels faster but due to the different engine types it's a bit hard to say. The Ducati feels way more violent where the Honda was more refined, made 160hp from the back wheel so no slouch in that sense though. I've had a long list of bikes.2020年3月6日 ... Reddit iOSReddit AndroidReddit Premium About RedditAdvertiseBlogCareersPress. Terms & Policies. User Agreement Privacy Policy Content Policy ...The 796 is a decent bike, but way over priced. But, if you're on a budget and need a new Ducati, this one makes the most sense. The 1100 is a great bike, but again, the pricing feels like a kick in the balls. The Street Triple R is a great bike that's fairly priced, and has seen some incremental improvements over the last few years. Ducati has improved over the years. Even while the bikes are becoming more complex, the failures are becoming less frequent, which is encouraging. As with any brand, there are always a few problems, and some of them are problems that people still complain about in forums a decade after the bike went out of production. The Monster does get hotter under the seat than the V2 which does a better job dissipating the heat. I would strongly consider the SP and add on the Termi racing silencers. Considering mods it will be much cheaper than the V2 and you get Ohlins and a fuel gage. TheHumanDan • 1 yr. ago. Thanks so much for your response! I would consider the Ducati Scrambler a bit different category than the XSR900 and BMW R NineT, however. The scrambler is air cooled and significantly lower HP than the other two which are liquid cooled (75hp ducati vs ~115hp for the other two). I'd say, as far as true "scrambler" ability (able to off road somewhat) the Ducati is ahead. However ...

Not cheap either, still likely an insurance claim. But cheaper than the Ducati. The maintenance isn't bad, the SuperSport's valve intervals are 18,000 miles vs 15,000 miles on the SV-650.
